File - Inventory

Use this option to maintain the Inventory / Item master file. The Inventory (or Item) master file is one of two main files in Micronet, along with the Debtor master file. Before entering any Inventory master file information, make sure the files listed below have been correctly entered. If you do not, Micronet prompts you to create this information on the fly as you enter the product details:

Warehouse master file
Freight master file
Sales Territory master file
Commission Code master file
Salesperson master file
Exchange Rates master file (if multi-currency is applicable)
Discount Matrix master file
Product Category master file
Supplier master file.

The Inventory master file screens and tabs that are available in MJC are exactly the same as those in MDS and are documented in full in the Distribution System manual.
